Meet Cynthia

I’m a Cali girl at heart: a San Diego native, a UCLA alumna, and while I loved getting my Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary outside Boston, I couldn't wait to click my ruby red heals and come home!  For the last nine years, I’ve been the Director of Women's Ministries at La Jolla Presbyterian Church but have recently stepped down to pursue a season of writing and speaking. I love living in the little beach enclave of Bird Rock with my husband and two amazing teenagers. I heart surfing (medium sized waves), hiking intense hills, sipping a latte, spending time with friends, eating my vegetables, and going on adventures with my sweet family! 

The journey that Jesus has led me on has crushed and sharpened me but also brought such joy! I feel overwhelmed with gratitude that God has placed me in a position where I can teach and encourage women.  I pray that one of my ministries will encourage and bless you!
