What is it?
A simple fold out to help with your own study of the Scriptures. Follow the timeline along the top and see where each book of the Bible fits. Read the summaries and trace the continuous plan for Jesus, beginning in Genesis.
Why do I need it?
We don’t understand the purpose of Jesus or the imagery he uses to identify himself unless we understand the Old Testament. Through the timeline, see the overall story of Scripture unfold and better understand God’s word.
Where did it Come From?
I blame a friend for this whole project. While I was sitting in a Bible study with a group of women, one said "I just can't read the Bible because I don't know where I am in it."
Since I’ve had the privilege of studying theology, an idea began to form. If I spent a couple nights creating a timeline, maybe my friend could then see the continuous story of Scripture and how each book fits. It was a great idea. But since I’m a mom of two and working part-time, that couple nights project turned into what another dear friend termed "my great opus of 2016."
Though the project WAS big, through it I re-fell in love with Scripture. I hope this guide will help you better understand the Bible and know Jesus more intimately because of it. ~ Cynthia
